In cooperation with the network Dafni and the municipality of Kithons, a volunteering action was organized in the beautiful island of Kithnos. In an event of six days between 15 and 20 September of 2017, cleaning and simple maintenance activities were performed in the hiking paths of the island.

The effort of Trace Your Eco’s volunteering team aimed to promote the natural beauties and the variety of the environment that gives an competitive advantage to the alternative-hiking tourism of the island.

Participants had a multifaceted benefit. The combination of experiencing the local histories, the natural beauty, the culture, the gastronomy , the local hospitality while sharing their passion of hiking, formed a unique lifetime experience for all the team.

For many years, Trace Your Eco contributes to the development and reinforcement of the hiking tourism in Greece. Our aim is the diffusion of our love for nature and the development of a hiking society based on a friendly and respectful culture towards the environemnt. We contribute in the development and growth of a sustainable model of alternative activities in the Greek territory. Our target is to establish Greece as an international hiking destination.

Every year in cooperation with local associations we contribute in volunteering actions for the maintenance of the hiking trails. Our cooperation with Dafni network, promotes the volunteering principle, as it give the opportunity to the local communities to maintain and promote their places through hiking tourism. We constantly work in expanding and developing further cooperation with local communities.
